WE ARE HIRING
Exciting Catering Opportunity at The Beaufort Theatre, Beaufort, Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent
25 hours per week
Commencing 10th September 2018
The Beaufort Theatre is seeking to find an experienced catering operator to provide daily catering in our busy café facility, as well as a more refined dining and function experience for both theatre patrons and visitors to enjoy.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly energetic and motivated individual. The Beaufort Theatre is the principal theatre in the County Borough of Blaenau Gwent, managed by a team of volunteers following a Community Asset Transfer just over a year ago. The Theatre is a much loved venue by the local community. It has a 310 seater main house auditorium and also has ballroom space accommodating 120 people in cabaret style and a bar and café area with kitchen. As with most theatres, winter periods are very active so experience of operating a busy kitchen is essential. The Theatre café area is open all year around. It has a fully functioning and equipped kitchen of adequate size to produce the required standard of food, with a current hygiene rating of 4.
This is a great opportunity for a caterer with a proven track record to be creative and bring his or her personal style to this progressive and forward thinking organisation. The successful applicant will operate the service on an employed basis, covering the café and bar operations.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate the ability to manage a full catering operation, producing consistently high standards of food and service, and be willing to work with our energetic team of volunteers. The successful applicant will also need to demonstrate an ability to create and deliver a consistently high standard of catering with flexibility in working hours, have good communication skills and the ability to respond well to any challenges. A high standard of cleanliness in all areas will be expected.
The Theatre will require the catering operator to provide:
- Short order items, bar snacks and light meals
- Catering for functions held at the Theatre
- In order to meet customer needs, a flexible approach to both working hours and catering will be required
